Your data never leaves this device. The analysis runs entirely inside your browser — nothing is uploaded, stored or sent anywhere. Please export an anonymous pupil reference rather than pupil names; the analysis never needs them.

The export this tool needs

One row per pupil, or — better — one row per pupil per half term, which is what produces the direction-of-travel chart. Column order doesn't matter and headings are matched loosely, so “Sessions Possible”, “sessions_possible” and “Possible Sessions” all work.

HeadingNeedNotes
Year GroupRequired7, 8, 9… (or Reception/Nursery as text)
Sessions PossibleRequiredSessions the pupil could have attended
Sessions AttendedRequiredSessions present. Attendance is calculated attended ÷ possible, exactly as the DfE, your IDSR and Ofsted calculate it — an average of pupils' individual percentages gives a different and wrong answer.
Sessions Authorised Absence
Sessions Unauthorised Absence
Sessions AEA
RecommendedSplits absence, and separates approved educational activity. Without these the absence-composition analysis is skipped.
Half TermRecommendedAUT1 AUT2 SPR1 SPR2 SUM1 SUM2 — one row per pupil per half term unlocks the trajectory view
FSM6RecommendedEver eligible in 6 years. This is the measure your IDSR benchmarks against — not the same as Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium, SEN Status, SEN Primary Need, GenderRecommendedSEN Status as E/K/N; primary need as ASD, SEMH, SLCN…
Pupil RefOptionalAn anonymous, stable reference — never a name. Lets the tool name which pupils sit on each rung of the support cycle.
